  1. This is an easy question, there are SO MANY things I love about country music! Country music is all about loud music, a cold beer, and just being with friends and having a great time!! And who better to listen to than Kenny and Tim at Target Field!! tony_hilmoe7@hotmail.com

  2. Country music has always remained true to its roots and values from the very beginning! There are still songs about enjoying the simple things in life, God, love, and actual morals. Compare country music to hip hip and r&b  music, and you see the true quality of country music! iluvorange1356@hotmail.com

  3. Music can change your mood in an instant! There is Country music out there that really has a way of pulling strong emotions out of you… it can make you laugh, cry, remember past loves, empower you….

  4. There is something so pure and honest about country music.  No matter the song, I can always find a line that hits home.  The other reason I love country is the wide variety.  If you feel like kickin’ back with a beer, listen to a little Kenny Chesney or Toby Keith.  If you want to ride with your windows down on a nice Minnesota night, throw on some Keith Urban or Rascal Flatts.  If you are a kick-butt woman, listen to a little Gretchen Wilson or Carrie Underwood for inspiration.  There is something for everyone with country music!—hill1239@umn.edu

  5. What I love about country music? The way that it makes you feel. The way that it can transport you to a certain time in life or how it has helped you in anyway. I remember in daycare listening to a song and never knowing what it was, the only parts I remember from the song was the beginning and the chorus. I never did find out what song that was until I was a sophomore in high school and heard the guy behind me singing the exact same song. I asked him what it was and it was then, that I discovered the wonderful music of Tim McGraw and the song I had been listening back then was ‘Don’t Take the Girl’. It has been my favorite song by and probably my first favorite country song. The songs we hear by Chesney and McGraw don’t just last with us until they are done playing on the radio, they stick with us as we age. It is with that we learn to appreciate country music. It would be a dream come true, to see these wonderful singers in person! It would make my summer complete! I am sure we ALL have a country song that has struck a chord somewhere in us. Country music brings people together and allows us the opportunity to kick back and listen to some amazing music. There has not been one Kenny Chesney song that I don’t like. Besides what better way to celebrate summer than by being able to hear ‘Summertime’ live! I would absolutely love to see both singers in person and I love country music because it makes me happy and anybody who loves country music has amazing taste! :)

  6. “cause it’s songs about me

    and who I am
    songs about loving and living
and good hearted women and family and God
    yeah they’re all just
    songs about me”amanda10zz@hotmail.com

  7. There are plenty of reasons why I adore country music. They range from it being a rare generational connector in families to the music being the essence of the American spirit. Yet, if I absolutely had to choose only one particular reason it would be that country music is the art of story-telling at its finest. From happiness to sadness, even drunkenness, all emotions can be found in at least one country song. The wide spectrum of human emotion is covered in one broad type of music.

Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw are the perfect example of the epitome of country story telling. Every single one of their songs introduces you to characters, a place, or a feeling that are universal. These elements make the song more than memorable, they make it relatable. Now most songs that play on the radio are all the same empty manufactured music that all sounds the same. Country music stands apart because of it’s emotional story telling. A listener can’t walk away, simply forgetting about the song. Instead it leaves an impact on them. In just a few minutes, a few bars of musical notes, and a set of lyrics people become truly connected to the song like no other genre can do.

  8. I remember the events in my life by the music that I was listening to at the time. I still remember the excitement I felt buying my “cowgirl hat” at RCC for my first Tim McGraw and Faith Hill concert. Country music for me holds the memories of fantastic places, countless good times and amazing people.  It reflects our lives and reminds us of what’s important.  Could there be anything better? mncountrygirl33@hotmail.com

  9. Ever hear this one?  ”You know what happens when you stop listening to country music?  You get
your dog, wife, house & kids back!”  Unfortunately, country music gets a bad rap for only being about these things, but the country music I know & love is about family, God, love, sweet memories & good times…real life! It often takes me back to my childhood & makes me stop to appreciate the short time of my own kids’ childhood.  And there’s no better cure to missing my home state of Tennessee than just turning on the radio & hearing those southern accents :)  You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t
take the country out of this girl!

P.S. I truly am Kenny Chesney’s biggest fan & I would LOVE to see him at Target field.

  10. I love country music because it fits whatever mood I am in. Country music is written about real things and I think that country music stars are much more level headed than other big stars. It is fun to wind down with country or to start a party. I have never been to a concert and I would love to Kenny and Tim. kellyschueler@hotmail.com

  12. I love the simplicity of country music and how it can raise complex memories/emotions.  Country music is best paired with friends and family-taking you back to that ‘one great evening’ when all that mattered in the world was in your backyard. It has raw emotion that radiates through a speaker.  Country songs can lyrically draw a person in by the shared experience of love, loss, joy and happiness that bonds us all as people.

  13. I love country music because out of all the music genres there are out there Country music is the most patriotic and really celebrates being an American. Country Music singers share their love for America by doing so many wonderful things, such as Tim McGraw teaming up with Operation Homefront to give away homes to needy wounded warriors and veterans. I served in the Marine Corps and my husband is active Marine Corps with 10 years in so far. We love this country and love that country music really celebrates our great nation.

  14. My daughter and I love country music!!  We can relate to the lyrics in almost every song by almost every artist!  My daughter was involved in a serious car accident on Friday night, 10 hours after receiving her drivers license!   We are so grateful that she is here with us with only a few cuts & bruises. “Jesus take the wheel” by Carrie Underwood has been the country song we have been relating to the last couple days.  Its amazing how country music can soothe the heart & the soul.  I would love to surprise her and take her to this concert!

    Thank you,
    Kris
