Thank you readers for all of your comments. Congratulations to ”Oogami” and “apeski” on each winning a pair of tickets to the Vita.mn Poolside Fashion Show! Winners have been emailed.
The sixth-annual Vita.mn Poolside Fashion Show, featuring four of the Mall’s hottest retailers, comes to Calhoun Beach Club on Thursday, June 7 and we couldn’t be more excited. With the fiercest fashions on parade, you’ll want to saunter in looking fabulous and MOA™ is the perfect place to pick out your show-stopping accoutrements. In the next four days, we’ll scour the racks of each featured store and be your personal style guide on what to wear to the big event.
Our first stop is Bettie Page Clothing (Level 2, South)! This store brings the iconic styles of former model and pin up girl of the 1950’s to the glamorous, fashion-forward woman of today. We fell in love with the vintage looks, and found a hot number that would be perfect to wear to Poolside. This form-fitting floral dress ($74) marries fifties style with modern trends. Accessorize with these unique camel tiki leather heels ($104) and Tres Noir sunglasses ($90), and pick up a copy of “Vintage Hairstyling” by Lauren Rennels ($36.95) to complete the look! The only other thing you’ll need is a Piña Colada.
To celebrate the Vita.mn Poolside Fashion Show, we’re giving away one pair of tickets to two lucky MOA™ blog readers (must be 21+). How do you win? Tell us what your favorite beach or pool to hang at is and why. To enter, you must comment on this blog post by Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at noon CST and provide a VALID EMAIL ADDRESS. We’ll announce the winner via email and update the post to reflect that we’ve chosen a winner.

I go to school in Winona, MN which doesn’t have a ton of beaches or pools but when we go to the beach we head over the bridge (to WI) to Latch beach. It’s a small beach right on the Mississippi and it’s clean and a great place to hangout with friends. You go and you can always see someone you know or make completely new friends! There is an old wagon bridge that you can jump off of into the river which is a ton of fun! Also it’s great for college students because it’s never filled with lots of young children!

Thomas Beach at Lake Calhoun, hands down! It was the summer break hangout in high school, college, and it still is for me this day. Some of my best memories start with “that one time at Lake Calhoun..” 10,000+ lakes sure, but I’ll choose a beach with the view of the city anytime! Soccakicks15@aol.com
I love going to Schulze Lake Beach. It’s never to crowded, so there is plenty of space to lay out and get some sun! ods023@yahoo.com

Theodore Wirth Beach where you’ll find me. Great for sunning, playing frisbee in the water and, if you’re lucky, getting in a quick game of volleyball without scorching your feet on the hot sand! emmanuelle.brunel@gmail.com
My best friend’s parent’s beach on Maple lake. Being surrounded by people you love, the sun, great food and cool water is where it is at. chironicole338@gmail.com
You can’t beat a summer afternoon spent by Calhoun! It is a wonderful spot to throw down a beach towel, read a good book, and get in some good people watching! rusch069@umn.edu
My favorite beach is Lake Elmo. Perfect for a day tanning and very family friendly.

i loved the marco island beach, especially because of the para-sailing experience there!!
the big island all the way <3 <3 there can be snow, rainfall and scorching sun on the same day and that too within driving distance – who can pass that up!!
my favorite spot is Long Lake in Brainerd as it is fairly shallow and is a nice swimming lake.
Hidden Beach in Minneapolis all the way! Where else can you find a man selling homemade tye dyed shirts, kids running around in and out of the water with their dogs, families playing the flutes and great sun all in one semi-hidden location! sohail, sjakhavein@gmail.com
The beach on Curacao where I spent my honeymoon. Beautiful memories spent with a wonderful man.
