Rascal Flatts packed the Rotunda with 10,000 fans on September 26, 2007 to celebrate the release of their album “Still Feels Good.”  Rascal Flatts are now one of the most popular acts in country music and I don’t know about you guys, but I’d love to see them back at Mall of America® some day!  Check back next Friday to Flasback again…

Demi Lovato was greeted by more than 8,000 screaming fans on August 8, 2009 when she visited Mall of America®.  The “Give Your Heart a Break” singer was here to promote and sign copies of her album “Here We Go Again.”  Demi has skyrocketed to even greater fame since her visit here and is out on tour this summer.  We hope to have her visit MOA™ again soon!  Stayed tuned for another Flashback next Friday.

The day was May 6, 1999 and 20,000 people got a glimpse of what was to be one of the biggest music groups in history.  *NSYNC made their second apperance at Mall of America® on that day and it was an event for the MOA™ record books.  We all remember their catchy tunes and drop-dead gorgeous looks (at the time anyway!)…reunion anyone?!

“Laguna Beach” and “The Hills” star, Lauren Conrad, has visited Mall of America® a few times in recent years and today we’re highlighting her apperance on October 19, 2010.  Lauren came to the Mall to autograph copies of her books, ”Sweet Little Lies” and “Lauren Conrad Style” and even filmed a pilot episode for a reality show about her career.  Now a successful fashion designer and author, Lauren has come a long ways since her days on MTV Reality TV.  We can’t wait to have her back!  Check back next week for another Flasback!

Hundreds of fans lined up outside of Best Buy at Mall of America® to snag an autograph and meet the charming British singer/songwriter, Ellie Goulding.

As part of a mini promotional tour for her album, “Lights,” Ellie made only two stops across the U.S. and Mall of America was one of them! We got a behind the scenes sneak peek at her live performace before the signing, check it out:

Nikki Sixx came to Mall of America® on Sept. 22, 2007 to sign copies of his memoir “The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star.” Over 1,500 people came to catch a glimpse of the Mötley Crüe singer and get their book signed.  Were you here for this event?  Stay tuned for another Flashback next Friday!

Big Time Rush visited Mall of America® last year to sign copies of their CD Elevate and meet and greet with hundreds of fans! We have loved seeing how successful Big Time Rush has been in the music industry and with their TV show on Nickelodeon. We hope to have them back at MOA™ soon!

Mall of America® has welcomed more than 900 celebrities since its opening on August 11, 1992.  The Wall of Fame, located on  Level 4, East showcases just a few (well… over 200) of the stars that have made an apperance in the last 20 years. There are photos of Barry Manilow, Cindy Crawford, Zac Efron and Taylor Swift to name a few. We hope you can make it up to Level 4 to find a picture of your favorite star or maybe a photo from an event you actually attended!

It is a fun stroll down memory lane and we hope that over the next 20 years, we can add many more stars to this wall. Enjoy!
