We spotted Carling out shopping while grabbing our afternoon coffee at Starbucks. Her style remains classic with a J. Crew button-up that will never go out of style, but she punches up her look with a bold tribal necklace and trendy loafers. It could just be the perfect shopping outfit if I do say so myself.

Those who know me would definitely not put me in the health nut category(stop laughing friends). Lucky for me, I’ll be able to get a daily dose of Vitamin C from my wardrobe this season. If you haven’t already heard, Tangerine Tango is THE color this spring – followed closely by her friends mango & carrot- and our MOA™ retailers are definitely taking heed. Whether you’re ready to go all-out in a citrus colored frock, or want to keep it low key with a fun desk accessory, orange is a necessary addition to your spring shopping list that has major a-peel.
I could not be more ecstatic about our new blog beat, “Spotted at MOA,” where we will scout for the trendiest MOA shoppers to bring their style to you. Meet our first spotted shopper, Stephanie, who is a walking billboard for the saying that “age is just a number.” At 43 (I know, I’m still questioning this myself) and a full-time mom of 3 kids, Stephanie is rocking the relaxed denim trend with a pair of Joes Jeans from Nordstrom. We love how she topped it off with a casual J. Crew button-up and crazy-cool wedges. Stephanie is the mom that has got it going on!
Spend your shopping time out at Mall of America and you never know – we might approach you, our trendy shopper, next!

It ‘s challenge number seven for the aspiring designers this week and last night, the mentors worked one-on-one with the contestants to expand their reach and design further outside their comfort zone. Let’s see how it turned out…
John works with Orly to expose her talent beyond her “convertible clothing routine.” In turn, she creates a beautiful blue blazer-inspired dress that blows the judges away. She recieves not one, but two bids on her dress and as the bidding war caps out at $70,000, Orly chooses to go with H&M (Yay for us!).
Luciana’s dress also caught the eye of both Saks and H&M. Nicole from H&M raises her bid by $10,000 making Luciana the first designer to sell to all three buyers! Although I loved the soft muted hues on her runway dress, I can’t help but be drawn to the bold + bright water color print dress H&M chose.

You can purchase both of these looks instore NOW at H&M (Level 1, West) at Mall of America®!

Trying to decide what your child should wear during this tricky-weather season is no easy task. With these few simple tips you’ll be on your way to having your child dressed for anything Mother Nature sends our way while looking adorable at the same time! First, layers are key. Layering your kid’s look will allow them to easily shed pieces throughout the day as the temperature is on the rise. Next, hoods are a great way to keep natural body heat in as half of our body heat escapes from the tops of our heads. Finally, sending your kid off with a cute bag or backpack is always a smart idea so they have a place to easily store all of the layers they may take off during the day!
Sara Rogers stopped by the Twin Cities Live studio to show us how to successfully layer our kids! Check out the video here.

For as long as I can remember, blue has been my favorite color. Back in the day when all the girls were going crazy for pink, I was the lone advocate for the cooler color on the other side of the spectrum. In time, a lot of my friends have come around to blue and so has the fashion world, apparent by the dashes of cobalt blue that have been popping up everywhere. As usual, Mall of America® has just what I need to get my fix of blue. I have been going crazy over all the cobalt pieces amongst our three retail-packed floors. With our variety of retailers and incredible selection, I easily found pieces from head-to-toe in my hue of choice; nail polish, shoes, pants, tops and accessories. There is plenty for the guys as well from ties to socks and, for the daring, cobalt blue loafers. Your home and office are no exception to this vibrant color. MOA™ has desktop accessories, kitchen trinkets and everything else you could need to add a dash of cobalt blue to your day-to-day. Just make sure you save a pair of cobalt skinny jeans for me!

Whether your idea of a day on the water involves a Lake Minnetonka yacht or Lake Calhoun paddleboat, you’ll definitely want to get on board with this spring’s nautical trend spotted at multiple MOA™ retailers. Anything navy, red or striped screams sailor style and accessories featuring anchors, knots and gold accents are perfect for blending in with the seafaring crowd. Subtlety is the key with this trend however, as too much nautical worn together could have you looking more Gilligan than glamorous. Anchors Aweigh!

You know those people who try to keep up with the trends? I’m totally one of “those” people. I pour over monthly magazines and catalogs to see what’s hot and try desperately to incorporate it into my wardrobe or beauty routine. I have loved the bright lip trend since its debut but never thought I could do it until my recent visit the MAC Cosmetics store. I stopped in to pick up my regular neutral and after a conversation with the make-up artist, she convinced me to try Speed Dial. Low and behold, it was the perfect shade of pink – not too bright, not too soft.
P.S. While the cost is $14.50, I got mine for free. How? MAC has an awesome recycling program called Back to MAC. If you bring in any six items of primary packaging from products they sell that you have used up, you get a free lipstick!

Color-blocking with two bright hues is a trend that I’m fully embracing and H&M is currently a hot spot for bright colors, making it uber easy for any fashionista on a budget to find workable options to pull this look off. These bright navy crops came in several other fun colors, but the navy + coral combo won my heart over.
