National Beer Day is April 7, 2016 (as if you needed another reason to enjoy a frosty cold one with friends). Lucky for you, Mall of America® is conveniently situated right in the middle of the vibrant Twin Cities craft brewing scene. That puts Mall of America at the perfect intersection of beer, food and friends.
To celebrate National Beer Day with a local twist, we’ve rounded up the best places at MOA to enjoy local craft brews on this special day, and we’ve also recommended some of our favorite food pairings to go with them. Cheers! And remember, you don’t have to limit yourself to National Beer Day to enjoy these (but you should always enjoy them responsibly).
JW Marriott’s Cedar + Stone, Urban Table
Head to the JW Marriott’s Cedar + Stone, Urban Table for a selection of draught beer to complement the scrumptious farm-to-table food pairings. Wash down their local bratwurst on a caramelized fennel pretzel bun with a 612 American Pale Ale. Or how about cheese curds and Grain Belt’s Nordeast?
Burger Burger
Burgers and beer just go together. The next time you have the craving for an indulgent burger, check out Burger Burger, the ultimate destination for gourmet burgers at Mall of America. The burgers range from tried and tested classics, to wacky and wild. Try a Mac Daddy or a French Kiss (two of our favorites) and finish either of them off with the cool notes of a Surly Serious.
Buffalo Wild Wings
Surround yourself with sports, wings and beer at Buffalo Wild Wings. If you’re dowsing your wings with sauce on the spicy side, Fulton’s Lonely Blonde is a nice, easy-drinking beer to counterbalance that heat.
Hard Rock Cafe
Head to Hard Rock Cafe for the Summit Saga or Summit IPA on tap. The Summit Sága — an IPA with subtler hops and a hint of sweetness — pairs great with Twisted Mac, Chicken and Cheese, or a classic Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken Sandwich. And on Thursday nights you can wash everything down with a big gulp of bar trivia. Check out Hard Rock’s Hard Rock Cafe Event Calendar for upcoming happenings.
