Styled by Sara: Let’s Hear It For the Bows

It is no secret that in the fashion world, the ‘70s are back baby—and they show no signs of slowing down. One major ‘70s trend that is having a moment is the neck-tie bow blouse—once a staple in the closets of style icons Bridgette Bardot, Bianca Jagger and even the late, great David Bowie. Lucky for us, the bow blouse is no longer reserved for secretaries and girly-girls alike, but is actually a super versatile piece that can be mixed into anyone’s wardrobe. Our very own trend specialist, Sara Rogers, gave the retro bow blouse a modern twist by putting together three ultra-chic outfits.

The Classic White Blouse. Sara’s first outfit is a fresh, modern take on the everyday white blouse. Give the look a spring vibe by combining it with a neutral, suede pant and dusty pink blazer.

Make it Casual. Don’t be fooled, the tie-neck blouse can be dressed down. Balance off the flirty-style blouse with some distressed jeans to give it an edgy flair.
