I love sweets, and in a place like Mall of America, you never have to go too far to find what you’re looking for. I love chocolates and candy, but my sweet store of choice has to be Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (Level 1, East). They carry a vast array of treats including my all-time favorite: caramel apples. And not just the original.
This tiny shop offers more than 30 different flavors of caramel apples year-round, but they’re especially tasty when shared. They start with green Granny Smith apples smothered with handmade caramel, then they dip them in a variety of toppings. I’d highly recommend trying every flavor (which I’ve actually done).
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory can actually slice your apple, so you can avoid making a mess as well as share with others. Trust me, everyone who gets a piece will be grateful.
Word of advice: Try the tiger butter caramel apple.
