When it comes to makeup, I prefer minimal amounts of product. I love the natural look, but if I’m feeling daring I usually go with a bold lip color (as I’m sure most do). When I think about adding color to my eyes, I often flashback to my childhood when I would raid my mom’s make-up drawer. Let’s just say since then, my eyelids have stayed clear of bright colors.
However, while browsing runway beauty looks online, I saw a striking—not to mention incredibly cool—makeup trend popping up: bold, blue eyeshadow.
At first I thought, “Sure, blue eye-makeup looks great on the runway, but can it really be worn in real life?” I decided it was worth finding out, so I grabbed a couple of friends, went to Sephora and challenged their make-up artists. The outcome: three unique, but practical, runway-inspired looks.
