“This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors.”
Leatrice Eiseman Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute®
I know three things for cretain: life goes on, retail therapy is real and Pantone knows color. So when Pantone announced Marsala as the hue to have in 2015, my ears perked up. I wasn’t sure of the seemingly muddy mauve at first, but one quick lap around the Mall, a couple clicks on Pinterest and I was hooked. From home to table to beauty and fashion, the color has the some serious staying power. I’ve seen it paired with everything from bright jewel tones to classic neutrals and it delivers every single time. Looking at my own closet, it is completely bare of Marsala so I plan to grab a lipstick in that shade to tout on my pout at various occasions throughout the year.
