Laura Marano is widely known for her role as Ally in Disney Channel’s international hit television series “Austin & Ally,” and now she’s transitioning into the pop music spotlight. The 20-year-old L.A. native, who has been in the entertainment business since she was 5 years old, recently performed at Mall of America® and I had a chance to ask her a few questions during her down time.
Q: You’re an accomplished actress and will be releasing your debut album soon. Do you prefer acting or making music?
A: I truly love both. I grew up in my mom’s children’s theatre performing, and I love being up on stage, whether it’s acting or singing.
Q: As an artist, where do you get your inspiration from?
A: Everything—from my experiences to my friends’ experiences to even my imagination. I get inspired by everything.
Q: What do you like to do on your days off?
A: Sleep! I am pretty boring on my days off. I read, watch Netflix and HBO GO, and sleep.
